Which Tennis Ball is Right For You?
Posted in: Blog | Published on: October 3, 2022 | Written By: adminWhen you’re beginning a sport, the biggest question that should be on your mind is always which equipment you should be using. There are plenty of tools that professional tennis players use that aren’t necessary for a beginning player- and there’s no reason you should use a tennis ball that doesn’t suit your playstyle.
Money Is Everything
Tennis doesn’t have to be a sport that costs a lot of money to learn. Whether you’re already in private classes or just using video tutorials to learn the basics, there are several different options when you’re looking for how much tennis may cost. One of these big costs comes from the different brands of tennis ball. Premium balls usually cost around $3 a ball, and often come in large packages. You may end up spending upwards of $40 on a premium ball, but you don’t have to. If you spring for the cheaper array of tennis balls, though, you can expect to only spend about a dollar a ball.
What’s the Difference?
There’s actually a huge difference between the different types of tennis balls, though. Premium balls are often made of real wool, and the better you get, the more likely they are to be hand-spun and hand-threaded. This isn’t a luxury you get with the cheaper balls, which are synthetically produced and often have a lesser bounce than you’d get with a higher-priced piece of equipment. If you want something that will last, too, you’d be better off purchasing a premium ball than a cheap one.
Choosing the Right Tennis Ball For You
Getting into a sport doesn’t have to be a difficult process, but sometimes it can be hard to tell which tools are necessary and which ones are strictly professional. While buying premium tennis balls makes it easier to play and practice, it might be outside of your budget. Tennis isn’t a difficult sport, and not everyone needs to have the same equipment.
