Are you getting tired of tennis elbow on the court? Are you sick of having to quit practice because of this annoyingly minor injury? Have no fear! Here are some great exercises to help you deal with tennis elbow.

The Wrist Turn

The first, and easiest, movement to relieve and prevent tennis elbow would be the wrist turn.

To do a wrist turn, there are several simple movements. To begin, bend your elbow at a right angle, and then extend your hand out with your palm facing up. Slowly twist your wrist around, until your palm is facing down- and then hold that position for 5 seconds, and repeat about ten times. Attempting a wrist turn while holding something heavy- like a weight, or a dumbbell, or even something like a can of soup- can also be really helpful.

The Elbow Bend

It makes sense if it’s tennis elbow that you might want to perform some exercises involving your elbows! This one is easy- to begin, stand straight up tall and lower your arm to one side. Slowly bend that arm upwards at the elbow, until your hand can touch your shoulder. Hold that position for about 30 seconds, and then you can lower and repeat!

The Towel Twist

We’re about to throw in the towel with these exercises! But before we do, we’ve got one more thing to try- the towel twist. To attempt this exercise, you’re going to need a towel that’s long enough for you to hold in both hands, with a little bit of room between. To do this exercise, relax your shoulders and twist the towel by moving your hands in opposite directions, like you’re wringing out the towel. Repeat this motion about ten times, and then reverse your direction.
